|Balaia Golf Village
This superior grade fully air-conditioned apartment is one of 4 on the top floor of a 3 floor block of 16 apartments close to the golf Clubhouse and driving range. It is shown circled in the photo.
Both bedrooms are equipped with twin beds and feature a remotely controlled air-conditioning unit above the windows. (The master bedroom now has a king size double bed).
The master bedroom is equipped with a 32inch LCD flat screen TV and has its own access to the large full width terrace. The second bedroom has a 22 inch LED flat screen TV. Both bedrooms have free-standing electric heaters for cooler seasons.
The kitchen features all modern conveniences including full size oven and hob with extractor hood, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, electric juicer etc. There is a full size washing machine and separate tumble dryer located in a small utility room opposite the kitchen.
The lounge/dining room has a Samsung 42 inch wide screen LED TV with a Samsung Blue-Ray DVD player and a small selection of DVDs. There is a CD/Radio/Cassette player as well as an iPod/iPhone dock/charger and, for seating, an armchair and a 2 seater sofa in addition to the standard 3 seater sofabed. It is fitted with a remote controlled air condtioning unit above the patio doors and has a Fogo Montanha wood burning fire in the feature fireplace for use in the cooler seasons. This fireplace is entirely glass enclosed so that the fire can be stoked and left in all night if required. The lounge also accesses the terrace which is equipped with a charcoal barbeque.
All three TVs in the apartment are connected to the village's satellite TV system and receive approx. 28 channels. Of these, 13 are English, 6 are Portuguese, 5 are German, 2 are Dutch, 1 French and 1 multi-lingual.
Apartment 749 also has a telephone line and, though direct-dial long distance and international direct dial calls are barred, the phone may be used free-of-charge by guests for local calls (restaurant/taxi booking etc) and calls to 800 (freephone type) numbers. Calls to the barred numbers can be made using a pre-paid card available from the village newsagent shop for 5 Euros (up to 150 mins back to UK), which uses an 800 access number. The apartment also benefits from its own, dedicated (up to) 25mbps wi-fi broadband connection. This is provided free-of-charge to guests and the WEP code for access will be provided with your final confirmation letter.
Our apartment benefits from a west facing terrace with uninterrupted views over the village's 50 bay driving range - the bays are immediately below the terrace with driving away from our building. The Balaia Golf Clubhouse is approximately 70 metres away from our front door. The nearest swimming pool is 50 metres away.
PLEASE NOTE THAT NO PETS ARE ALLOWED AND THAT SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED WITHIN THE APARTMENT.
