How Golf Holidays are Affected by Covid
The coronavirus pandemic has affected many parts of our lives, not least our ability to travel, take part in sports and do the things we love. If you enjoy playing golf and have either booked or are considering a golf holiday, then sadly COVID-19 will have impacted this too.
The good news is that in the near future, restrictions will begin to lift across the UK and people will soon be able to travel abroad once again. Golf courses will begin to reopen on the 29th March in the UK. If you're travelling further afield, some golf courses in Portugal are open - however, it will not be possible to travel outside of the UK just yet, so it's advisable to book for later on in the year, beating the rush and making sure you'll be able to travel.
Here are some tips for people who have already booked a golf holiday and will not be able to travel due to current restrictions:
Many golf resorts, like others in the travel and tourism industry, have been hit hard by the pandemic. They may be willing and able to put your booking back and rearrange your travel dates for you, so that you don't have to miss out on your golf holiday.
If you are looking for a golf holiday in the beautiful Algarve in 2021, we are now accepting bookings. You can check availability on our website and browse our beautiful accommodation, with excellent facilities including swimming pools, a club house and, of course, access to the golf course and driving range. Many of the apartments and villas also have beautiful views across the golf course. As golf holidays have been badly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, we expect that accommodation will fill up fast. If you're interested in travelling later this year, you can send an enquiry to book your chosen accommodation via our website.
